Step 4 - Payment options

There are three ways in which you can pay to enter the Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge. By default, the online payment is selected. This is the fastest way to secure your place into the challenge and it's completely secured by Stripe.

If you wish to make an offline payment by BACS (bank transfer) or cheque please choose an alternative option from the below. Please note that your entry is not confirmed until your payment is processed and you receive an acknowledgement email from our team. We will also attach your VAT invoice with the email.
We are currently experiencing issues with our online payments. If you wish to make a payment directly to secure your place in the festival, please select BACS and in the extra information box at the end of the form tell us and our team will call you directly to take payment for your entry.

CREW BBQ ALLOWANCE

Each crew entry fee includes 11 BBQ tickets. Extra tickets for additional crew members, supporters and guests can be purchased at the specially reduced price of £19 + vat each. Tickets for the barbeque menu will NOT be available for purchase on the day.

Please download theBBQ Requirements Form to choose dietary options for the 11 free BBQ tickets and return by 13th May 2023. You can also purchase additional BBQ tickets by filling out the bottom half of the form. The same deadline applies. 

As a platinum entry you already have access to all the additional extras.

The Official Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge in aid of CRASH is back for the 24th year! 

The 24th London Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge takes place on the afternoon of Thursday 23rd May 2024, 1pm - 6.30pm at Surrey Docks Fitness & Water Sports Centre, Rope Street, London, SE16 7SX and 40 teams from the construction & property sector are expected to compete over the 200m race course. Hundreds of construction companies have already discovered the sport’s team building benefits and raised much-needed funds for CRASH so why not be part of it? With bankside entertainment and hospitality, a fabulous event is guaranteed!

Terms of Entry

As you are entering the challenge as a multi-team entry, please be aware that you are accepting the following disclaimer and terms of entry on behalf of all crews and their respective members.

We agree to abide by the challenge rules and entry conditions below. As crew manager I certify that all crew members are water confident and fit to race. I hereby release NewWave Events, the challenge supporters and charity including their agents, officials and volunteers for any injury or loss caused through our participation. We compete entirely at our own risk. I also agree that NewWave Events and its challenge partners can use my details given here to provide further information on this event and related services by phone, post or email.

Crews

Crews comprise of up to 10 paddlers plus a drummer – squads may be larger (max 15 persons). Crews can be mixed, all female or all male and organisations may enter more than one crew. The minimum age is 16 and no previous experience is required. All crew members must be confident in cold water conditions, wearing light clothing and in moving water and compete entirely at their own risk. BDA qualified helms, buoyancy aids and water safety cover are provided by the organisers.

Entries

Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. No refunds will be given once an entry has been accepted and there can be no refund if the challenge or racing has to be cancelled due to conditions outside the control of NewWave Events. Please note, participants and spectators must acknowledge the fact that this event is in the public arena and therefore by entering the venue, this may result in the recording of your image which may be used for promotional purposes.

Rules

All crews accepted for entry must abide with the competition rules and entry details. Each crew is guaranteed a minimum of 2 races (subject to conditions).

Levels of Entry

Informational

Read the entry levels below and decide whether you would like to go for the standard, premier or platinum package. If you are entering multiple teams, you can choose a different entry level for each one. There are a limited number of premier and platinum entries available.

You will be able to choose the amount of teams and levels of entry following the next steps (All costs include vat).



STANDARD CREW - £1,250 + vat plus £200 CRASH donation (£1,700 inc vat)

CRASH PREMIER CREW - £1,250 + vat plus £400 CRASH donation (£1,900 inc vat)

  • Package includes all the benefits of standard entry, £400 CRASH donation and acknowledgment on the Challenge website, crew managers pack, souvenir programme and results board.

CRASH PLATINUM CREW - £1,850 + vat plus £600 CRASH donation (£2,820 inc vat)


  • Package includes all the benefits of standard entry, £600 CRASH donation, company logo on each side of one dragon boat, half page advert in the printed and online souvenir programme and acknowledgment on the Challenge website, crew managers pack, souvenir programme, results board and commentary. The highest placed Platinum crew receives a magnum of champagne courtesy of CRASH.
